I apologize for the delay. YES, we teach actual fundamentals in the class, you will shoot 3 different gun and approximately 35 rounds. We have several lady instructors and this is a great starting point to know the fundamentals.

Is there a minimum age on taking the HQL/Basic Pistol class? I have recently purchased a 9mm handgun and I’d like to take the course but I want my son to take it also who will be 16 in January. I understand my son is to young to carry I just want him to take a class on handguns. If this isn’t the right course do you have one that might be geared for the beginner or can you recommend a class for beginners?

My friend Rod Weiss and I are interested in this class. We are regular users of the range. Both of us have MD wear and carry permits and he is a retired Army Ranger. Will our MD Wear Wear and Carry permits suffice for the minimum requirements of taking this course?

Day one and Day 2 combined get you to 16 hours. If you get your Carry Permit, they will also give you a free HQL. If you want to be a more proficient shooting, we suggest the HQL class, Day 1 class and the Utah class. Either route you get a free HQL with Carry permit
